Well, school starts on Monday...this has got to be the longest vacation I've ever had (almost 4 months!). It's been nice and relaxing, but I've been itching to learn some new illustration techniques (especially coloring my work using computer programs). Once I get the hang of certain programs, I'll probably invest in a nice tablet.

I'm excited and nervous about school at the same time...

I can't wait until I'm a relatively unknown illustrator living alone in a studio apartment while my landlord breathes down my neck because I haven't paid the rent in a few months, only because I used the rent money to buy more art supplies to finish a piece to apply for that one job I was sure I would get but didn't because my style just "wasn't what [they] had in mind," which in turn causes me to become severely depressed, forcing my friends and family to lament "poor Julian...why didn't he become a doctor or an astronaut instead of a much-maligned illustrator?"

Yup...I sure have high hopes for my future.
